Katie Price has revealed she wants to follow in the footsteps of Michael Parkinson and host her own chat show.

The former glamour model, whose previous late-night talk show with estranged husband Peter Andre was decommissioned, said she was the perfect interviewer.

"I do think that I can get people to open up and I do want my own chat show," she told New! Magazine.

Price and Andre's much hyped ITV2 chat show – Katie and Peter: Unleashed – ended in failure, despite early episodes proving popular with viewers.

However, Price said she was confident she could attract bigger names with her own programme.

"The show I did with Pete was just a laugh, but I think I can pull in the big guests, so why not?" she said.
