Michael Jackson named his idol and friend Diana Ross as a potential guardian of his three kids in his will, it has emerged.
The singer wanted the 65-year-old Supremes singing legend to care for Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II should his mother Katherine - who has already been awards temporary custody - be unable to look after them.
The document reads: "If any of my children are minors at the time of my death, I nominate my mother, Katherine Jackson, as guardian of the persons and estates of such minor children.
"If Katherine Jackson fails to survive me, or is unable or unwilling to act as guardian, I nominate Diana Ross as guardian of the persons and estates of such minor children."

In documents filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, the singer fails to name his father, Joseph, and “intentionally” omits former wife and surrogate for his two oldest children, Debbie Rowe.

Instead, his $500million estate be given to the Jackson Family Trust Fund.
The five-page will emerged earlier this week, shortly after the star’s family said they didn’t believe such a document existed.
Meanwhile, MIchael named his attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain as executors.
Branca was his main lawyer between 1980 and 2006, when he was let go. He was rehired a week before the star's death
