Mariah Carey Dresses Up As Beardy Eminem For New Video - Pictures

Mariah Carey tried out a radical new look yesterday – a bearded Eminem!

The normally glamourous singer came over all Slim Shady as she filmed the video for new single Obsessed in New York.

In keeping with her diva reputation, Mariah apparently insisted on playing all the characters in the promo.

As well as a rapper-type dressed in baggy white joggers and a grey hooded top and baseball cap, she portrayed the immaculately-groomed Mariah we are more used to seeing, and her own (male) chauffeur.

According to reports, Obsessed sees Mariah hit back at Eminem – who she was romantically linked with in the past – after he taunted her on his new album Relapse.

She sings: "Why are you so obsessed with me/ Boy I wanna know/ Lying that you're sexing me/ When everybody knows/ It's clear that you're upset with me."

She also allegedly reference's Eminem's drug habit, singing: "It must be the weed, it must be the E/ 'Cause you be poppin', you get it poppin.”

It seems the beard was just a hairy distraction!
