Last week, the frenzy surrounding the in-demand star threatened to take a darker turn when he ran into to the path of a moving taxi while trying to dodge a bunch of Twi-hards.

According to eyewitness reports, the actor was merely clipped by the vehicle and sustained no injuries, but the incident still raised questions about the actor's security.

However, a spokesperson for Summit – the studio behind the Twilight saga and Remember Me – said in a statement: "Robert Pattinson is fine. The reports are exaggerated, and the accident was not caused by fans. Production continues."
