Rihanna enjoyed a trip to the movies as she hit the town in New York City over the weekend.

The R&B star wore a smart white jacket and black-dye trousers as she and friends went to watch The Hangover in Lowes Kips Bay.

The Umbrella star is thought to be staying in New York while she records her new album.

The sightings came as the singer's former boyfriend Chris Brown attended the NBA finals in Florida last night with a unknown woman who looked strikingly similar to Rihanna.

The woman left onlookers stunned as she sat one seat away from the star.

As previously reported on Entertainmentwise, both Rihanna and Brown attended the fourth game in the series last Thursday.

The former couple initially sat at the opposite ends of the same row before moving to separate private boxes at half-time.
