Susan Boyle has her sights set on topping the Christmas album chart, it's been revealed.
The 48-year-old Britain's Got Talent star is understood to have begun discussions about her debut album with producers from Sony Records.
The album will be “musical themed” and is expected to arrive in December, according to The Sun newspaper.
“Wednesday was Susan’s first day as a recording artist — she had a brilliant time,” a source said.
“She talked about what songs she wanted for the album — it’s going to be a case of trying to pin her down to her favourite ten or so.”
Boyle's album is likely to be a huge hit around the globe.
Her audition on the talent show, during which she sung I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables, has been watched by millions on YouTube.
The singer has also already received huge media attention in the US, appearing on shows including Oprah and Larry King Live.
Meanwhile, the Britain's Got Talent tour begins in Birmingham tonight. At present, it's not clear if Boyle will participate in the show.
