Robert Pattinson might be in New York shooting his new film, but that hasn't stopped him from enjoying the city's 24 hour night life.

The Twilight star was spotted catching a cab back to his hotel late last night following an evening on the town.

The actor, who was sporting his favourite blue check shirt, tried to hide from cameras by playing on his iPhone.

Pattinson is currently in New York shooting new movie Remember Me.

The film, which tells the story of two new lovers whose relationship is threatened by family tragedy, is due to be released in 2010.

As Entertainmentwise reported earlier, Pattinson's Twilight co-star Ashley Greene has today claimed the actor is “freakin' out” about his new found fame.

In an interview with Nylon, the actress compared Pattinson to The Beatles.
