Chris Brown has been receiving death threats since he was involved in an altercation with former girlfriend Rihanna in February, according to reports.
The singer has apparently been left ‘‘totally paranoid’’ by the threats, and has been forced to hire extra security.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, he is now flanked constantly by visible body guards and other personnel who act “in cognito”.
The death threats are said to have come from a “group” calling itself the Women’s Protection Action League.
As previously reported on Entertainmentwise, Brown has been charged with assault over claims her hit Rihanna during a violent altercation shortly before the Grammy Awards in February.
The singer, who has pleaded not guilty, yesterday lost a bid to delay a preliminary hearing in his case, which will now begin on June 22.
Rihanna will testify against her former boyfriend after she was served by DA investigators.
Brown faces a maximum of five years in prison if found guilty.
