Madonna's bid to adopt another child from the African country of Malawi is set to be approved, two months after it was originally denied by a high court judge, reports claim.
The 50-year-old singer has reportedly convinced three appeal judges to allow the adoption of four-year-old Mercy James to go ahead.
The ruling will be officially confirmed during a hearing at Malawi's Supreme Court of Appeal later this month, according to the Sun newspaper.
A source said: "All recommendations are in favour of the adoption taking place. Mercy should start packing her bags. She's off to America."
In April, Madonna had her bid to adopt Mercy, who lives at the same local orphanage which housed the singer's other adopted child, David Banda, denied.
Strict adoption rules in the country stipulate that prospective parents must reside in Malawi for 18-months before the process can be approved.
But the singer bypassed these regulations during the adoption of David Banda in 2006, which was widely criticised by campaigners.
A friend of Madonna claimed the star was “ecstatic” to have succeeded in her battle to adopt Mercy.
