Robert Pattinson's New Moon handlers reportedly tried their best to steer the Twilight star away from the pub and into the gym.
The actor – who is known to be partial to a beer or several – was apparently told to work out every day for the film to ensure his body was in tip-top condition to play vampire Edward Cullen.
But Rob is said to believe producers had an ulterior motive.
“It was their way of keeping him in line,” a source tells Life & Style.

It appears that Rob was able to make time for both pursuits in his hectic schedule - despite being frequently seen clutching a beer on nights out in Vancouver, he showcased some impressively ripped abs while shooting shirtless scenes in Italy last month.
