Director Martin Scorsese has led the tributes to actor David Carradine, who was found dead in his Bangkok hotel room yesterday.
Scorsese, who directed the 72-year-old in Mean Streets, said he was “deeply saddened” by the actor's passing, adding that he had “found memories” of the star.
Rainn Wilson, who appears in the Amerian version of The Office, said: "RIP David Carradine. You were a true hero to so many of us children of the 70s. We'll miss you, Kwai Chang Caine."
As Entertainmentwise reported yesterday, Carradine was found dead in his hotel room in Thailand, where he was shooting the movie, Stretch.

Thai police have said the actor was found in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and other parts of his body.
Carradine's Kill Bill co-star Michael Madsen said: "David was one of the first actors I ever worked with when I started my career and the closest person to a brother that I ever had in my life."
The actor is survived by his wife and three children.
