Britney Spears' family are battling to prevent Lindsay Lohan from visiting the singer during her stay in London, according to reports.
Spears kicked off her eight night residency at the city's O2 Arena last night, but her family are said to be concerned Lohan is in the capital at the same time.
As Entertainmentwise reported yesterday, Lohan arrived in London on Tuesday, reportedly to visit her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
Spears, who will also play a concert in Manchester this month, was often seen partying with Lohan during her public meltdown two years ago.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Lindsay is a bit of a loose cannon. She landed in London knowing that her ex Sam Ronson and Britney are in town.
“She made a big deal about arriving by posting pictures of herself in London on Twitter. Britney's camp do not want that type of attention.
"She and Lindsay used to be friends, but it was all about going out partying.
"Brit's family are trying to steer her away from the every night extremes that Lindsay gets up to."
Spears is understood to have brought her two children and ex-husband Kevin Federline to stay with her during her visit in the UK.
Meanwhile, Lohan and Ronson are thought to have met last night at London's Bungalow 8 club.
The former couple were later seen leaving the venue and travelling to Ronson's hotel separately.
