Kristen Stewart's Twilight saga co-star Peter Facinelli says that the actress' awkward acceptance speech at the MTV Movie Awards was purely down to nerves.
The 19-year-old's apparent agitation as she collected her best actress honour – stumbling over her words, dropping her award – prompted some observers to suggest that the actress was drunk/high/both.
But when asked about his younger co-star's shaky performance, Peter – who plays vampire patriarch Carlisle Cullen – plays down the rumours, insisting instead that Kristen just always seems nervous.

He tells OK!: “"I think that’s just Kristen. She has that kind of shaky leg syndrome because she always looks a little nervous.”
