Kate Hudson and baseball star Alex Rodriguez are officially dating, according to reports.

Rumours of a romance between the pair have escalated since they were spotted dining together last month at a New York restaurant.

Now a source appears to have confirmed speculation, describing their relationship as “somewhat serious”.

"He introduced her to a bunch of his friends,” the source told US publication People.

Hudson is believed to have joined A-Rod when he played for the New York Yankees in Dallas last month.

The actress and her son, Ryder, 5, by Chris Robinson, stayed at the same hotel as A-Rod, it's claimed.
