Susan Boyle is “exhausted” but looking forward to the prospect of becoming an international singing sensation, her brother has said.
Gerry Boyle has joined a growing list of names that have spoken out for the Britain's Got Talent contestant after she was admitted to London's Priory clinic suffering from exhaustion.
In an interview with the Edinburgh Evening News, he said he believed his sister, who was “a wee bit homesick”, would take time to adjust to her new lifestyle in the spotlight.
“First and foremost we have to make sure she is happy, and she is – she wouldn't change all this for the world," Gerry added.
Susan, who came runner-up on Saturday's Britain's Got Talent final, was admitted to The Priory last night after police were called to her London hotel.

There had been growing fears over recent days about the singer's mental health, while some pundits had questioned the amount of support she was offered by the show's producers.
But Gerry said he was confident Susan would “bounce back”.
"This is the start of Susan's international career, now that the talent show is finished,” he said.
“She is not interested in money, she's not a material person, but what she is interested in is working with her idols and I'm sure Mr Cowell will have a few people lined up.”
As Entertainmentwise reported earlier, Prime Minister Gordon Brown also voiced his support for Susan earlier.
PR guru Max Clifford and judge Piers Morgan have also spoken about the singer's health.
Susan lost in the final of Britain's Got Talent to the London dance act Diversity.
