Lily Allen Reduced To Tears By Britain's Got Talent Contestant

Lily Allen was reduced to tears last night as she watched 12-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi qualify for the final of Britain's Got Talent.

The Smile singer, a keen follower of the series, wrote on her Twitter page: “OH MY GOD just watched Shaheen on Britain's Got Talent on YouTube. I'm in tears, so amazing.”

Shaheen made it through to the final by judges vote, while father and son dance duo Stavros Flatley won last night's public phone in.

Lily also used her Twitter account to defended earlier comments she had made about finalist Susan Boyle.

In a message on Monday, the singer claimed Susan was “overrated” - a claim widely criticised by the 47-year-old's fans.

But last night Lily said: “It also seems that I am not alone in my SUBO views, I'd say 90% of you are agreeing with me.

“And by the way,overrated is not the same as bad.”

The Britain's Got Talent semi-finals will continue tomorrow night as eight more hopefuls fight for a place in the final on Saturday.
