Hayden Panettiere has drawn attention to the misspelt tattoo on her side while showing off her killer bikini body in Cannes.

The pocket-sized Heroes star has a phrase in Italian - 'vivere senza rimipianti' - inked in large letters along her left flank.

"We think she means 'vivere senza rimpianti' which translates to mean 'live without regrets'," says the New York Post.

Does the tattoo help remind her not to regret having it done?
