Britney Spears is being sued by her former bodyguard, who claims he suffered personal injury while working for the singer.

Kerry M. Vine said he sustained the unspecified injuries in March 2008 after Britney failed to ensure he could perform duties he was asked to do.

The singer’s former bodyguard also said the singer’s “extreme/outrageous conduct" caused him "severe emotional distress."

Mr Vine made the allegations in a $25,000 lawsuit filed at Los Angele Superior Court yesterday.

The former bodyguard is seeking damages to cover medical and hospital costs, as well as loss of earning capacity, according to court papers.

The lawsuit is the latest legal action to be taken against the singer, who is currently on tour.
