Robert Pattinson struck a pose for photographers today as the Twilight phenomenon arrived at the Cannes Film Festival.

The actor took time out of promoting new movie Little Ashes to attend a photoshoot for New Moon, the second film in the vampire series.

The movie, which will see Rob reprise his role as Edward Cullen, is currently being filmed in Vancouver BC.

The actor looked back in Edward mode as photographers captured him on a jetty in the south of France.

Last night, Rob was one of the star guests at film festival's many A-list boat parties.

He is expected to return to Canada after the festival to finish location shooting for New Moon.

The cast are also due to travel to Italy later this month to film the scenes where Edward comes up against the evil Volturi.
