Katie Price has broken her silence over the pain she's feeling following her split from husband Peter Andre.

In a series of messages on Twitter, the former glamour model said she was “heartbroken” over the split and missing her husband.

Speaking to her Twitter followers, she said: “I'm still keeping a dignified silence. I have made no comments they are made up. I'm heartbroken.

"I never wanted any of this - we all miss Pete."

In a message earlier today, Katie said: “This is such a awful time for us and I really appreciate all your messages an support.”

The couple announced their split in a joint statement last Monday.

They have enjoyed a high-profile marriage since their first met on the reality TV show I'm A Celebrity..Get Me Out Of Here in 2004.

Katie fled to the Maldives after news of the split broke, while Peter is currently in Cyprus.

The couple are said to be organising crisis talks in the UK for later this week.
