John Mayer's Pre-Jennifer Aniston Pick-Up Lines Revealed

John Mayer once propositioned little-known singer Jessie James with a test message saying "Let me tuck you in."

The pop poppet gave a revealing insight into the singer's pick up technique during a chat with "Boomer & Craig" on US station WFAN Sports Radio.

She recalled: "He had someone send for me [from] across the room. He had a bunch of girls with him and he said, 'We should [all] go back to my apartment.'"

She said that after getting to John's Manhattan pad, "We were all hanging out and everyone started to gradually leave. It was just he and I at this point. I told him, 'I need some taxi money, I'm gonna go home now.' "

Jessie gave John - who claims to be single after splitting from Jennifer Aniston in March - her number before leaving, which led to her being on the receiving end of his suggestive word-play.

She explained: "He texted me throughout the entire night while I was at the hotel room," leaving messages like, "Let me tuck you in. I want to see you."

According to the NY Post's Page Six column, a friend of John's shrugged off the claims: "He met her two years ago, it was not a big deal."
