Eminem Speaks About Mocking Jessica Simpson's Weight Gain

Eminem has spoken about his decision to mock Jessica Simpson's weight gain in a recent music video.

A Jessica lookalike appears in the video for the rapper's hit single 'We Made You' dressed as the singer's American footballer boyfriend Tony Romo.

The curvaceous double sings the chorus to the song while eating a number of cheeseburgers.

In an interview with Detroit's Metro Times, Eminem said he had originally intended to have a slender Jessica lookalike.

But when production began for the video, pictures of a curvier Jessica began appearing in the media.

"When I say, 'Jessica Simpson, sing the chorus,' we were gonna have a chick who looked like Jessica Simpson come out and sing',” he said.

"But then Jessica got fat. I mean, not really fat but she certainly got fat for ... well, Jessica Simpson got fat for Jessica Simpson!"

Jessica has faced criticism for her weight gain ever since she showcased her new figure in February.

Ths singer has since claimed to be on a diet.
