The man reported to be at the centre of Katie Price and Peter Andre's split has revealed himself to be gay.
Spencer Wilton, a top international dressage rider, was pictured in a intimate position with Katie at a Bristol nightclub last Friday.
The photographs, published by The Sun newspaper, are said to have proved a final straw for Peter, who instigated their separation yesterday.
But Spencer has told the newspaper that he has “nothing to explain” about the pictures with the former glamour model, who was in Bristol to promote her equestrian line.
“We were just on a fun night out. There's nothing in it, we'd been at Badminton Horse Trials and we went out,” he said.
"It's all been blown up into something that it isn't."
Spencer added that he was already in a “happy relationship” with fellow dressage rider Carl Hester.
The couple's shock separation was confirmed yesterday by their spokesperson. It marks the end of a whirlwind three-and-a-half year marriage.
In a statement, Katie, said: "Pete is the love of my life and my life.
"We have children together and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me, as I married him for life.
"This is not what I want and the decision has been taken out of my hands.
"I will not comment further or do any interviews regarding the separation but I will always love my Pete."
The couple's sokesperson has appealed for the media to respect the couple's privacy.
