A vicious row where Katie Price called husband Peter Andre a “f**king knob” could be at the centre of the couple's divorce, it's been claimed.
The argument in a shop in Los Angeles was televised on the latest episode of their reality TV show, Katie and Peter: Stateside.
The couple announced they are to split after three-and-a-half years of marriage in a statement yesterday.
No explanation was given for the divorce, although there is growing speculation that the couple's bitter row could have triggered the demise of their relationship.
The argument, which can be watched below, began after Peter asked a sales assistant if he had ever heard of his wife.
When the assistant says he isn't sure, Katie tells Peter: “You’re a f****** knob, I can’t stand you,” to which he replied: “Ahh, did I hurt your feelings? Did he not know who you were?”
Katie says: “Oh, as if I’m bothered. No one knows who you are, you’re an old f****** singer no one knows about.”
Katie and Peter row (begins at 6:25).
Peter appeared to make reference to the row on his Twitter account shortly after the episode aired.
“Guys, I am getting a lot of heat about the argument I had with Wifey on the show the other night," he wrote.
“The point is I am always subdued and calm but I am like a kettle and sometimes I need to let off steam. Ok I over reacted and I apologies to anyone offended.”
He added that the row had been resolved within an hour.
