He gets out on good behaviour...

Boy George left prison with a smile on his face today (May 11) after being freed just four months into a fifteen month sentence.

The former Culture Club star was jailed in January for falsely imprisoning a male escort in his home in East London.

Boy George, real name George O'Dowd, gave a salute to waiting photographers outside Edmunds Hill Prison in Suffolk.

He also appeared to have lost weight during his time behind bars.

George was freed for good behaviour, but  will wear a monitoring tag and be under curfew for the coming months.

The 47-year-old must also regularly report to a probation officer under his release conditions.

The singer was found guilty in December of handcuffing Audun Carlsen to a wall in his bedroom in April 2007.
