Jennifer Lopez has revealed her daughter was admitted to hospital when she was three weeks old after doctors discovered a lump.
The actress spoke for the first time about the scare at a gala benefit for the Children's Hospital Los Angeles over the weekend.
She said her daughter, Emme, was forced to undergo a series of medical tests, including an MRI, before eventually being given the all clear from doctors.
"I just remember my heart sinking to my feet,” she is quoted as telling the audience by E! Online.
“I looked at [husband, Marc Anthony] and I said, 'You know if anything happens, I'm not going to be okay, you know that right?'"
J-Lo added: "Luckily in the end she turned out fine... [but] I started to wonder what if I couldn't afford a doctor, or receive the medicines, the procedures?"
Jennifer gave birth to Emme and her twin Maximilian in 2008. The children were unveiled to the world in a $6million magazine spread.
