Rihanna went for a night on the tiles in New York yesterday (May 4) wearing a daring yellow rhinestone jacket and bright red lipstick.

The Umbrella singer finished off the bold look with a pair of figure-hugging blacks jeans and sunglasses.

It was Rihanna's second public appearance in as many days following her high-profile showing at the Costume Institute Gala on Monday.

The singer has kept a low profile since her alleged altercation with boyfriend Chris Brown in February.

But Rihanna is not ready to make her full comeback just yet.

According to the Associated Press, the singer has cancelled a scheduled performance in Dubai later this month because the timing is "inappropriate”.
