Zachary Quinto and the cast of the new Star Trek movie were joined by stars from stage at screen at the film's premiere in Los Angeles last night (April 30).
The Heroes star, who plays Spock, was accompanied on the black carpet by Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock in the original TV series.
George Takei, who played Lieutenant Sulu in the 70s sci-fi smash, also attended the event alongside the character's new actor John Cho.
But one notable absence from the premeire was the original Captain Kirk, William Shatner.
He is believed to have shunned the event over director JJ Abrams decision to omit him from the Star Trek re-make.
“I couldn't believe it. I'm not in the movie at all. Leonard, God bless his heart, is in, but not me,” Shatner said last year.
Despite his absence, celebrities still stormed the black carpet to see the long-awaited Star Trek update.
Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere and Adrian Pasdar provided some moral support for their co-star, while Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester and supermodel Heidi Klum also attended the event.
