Chris Brown looks closer to making a plea bargain as he gears up for his third court appearance today, according to the latest reports.
The singer - who is charged with assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats - is said to be "close, but not imminent," to making a deal with the prosecution.
According to RadarOnline.com, it is unlikely that a deal will be reached in court today, but the two opposing sides are getting closer to achieving some sort of a plea bargain.
If no deal is made and the case reaches a preliminary hearing stage then things could take a nasty turn for the Run It star.
Chris' alleged February 8 beating of Rihanna could mean probation to a maximum four years and eight months in state prison, prosecutors say.
