Michael Jackson and his three children cut a bizarre sight as they went shopping in Los Angeles on Monday.

Dressed in an oversize green dinner jacket and red and black trousers, the self-proclaimed King of Pop finished off his eccentric look with a black hat, shades and surgeon's mask.

Like their father, Michael's three children also wore masks to shield their faces during a rare public outing.

But despite the fancy dress disguises, the singer was still mobbed by fans as he added to his already impressive collection of useless tat at the Ed Hardy store and Off The Wall antiques.

Michael is currently preparing for his summer comeback gigs at the O2 Arena, his first series of full concerts since he was cleared of child molestation charges in 2005.
