Jamie Lynn Spears' Boyfriend Critical After Car Crash

Jamie Lynn Spears' boyfriend Casey Aldridge is in hospital following a car crash in Louisiana yesterday, according to the latest reports.

Casey - who has an 8-month-old daughter with Jamie-Lynn - is said to be in critical condition with a haematoma and suspected blood clot in the brain. 

A source tells RadarOnline.com that Casey may be heading for surgery to treat his injuries after an innocent drive with pals in the early hours of Sunday morning ended with their car flipping over and landing in a ditch.

Jamie Lynn rushed to Casey's bedside as doctors keep him under observation at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

To add insult to injury, Jamie Lynn's beau has been charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle, according to TMZ.com.

The police have yet to comment.
