Halle Berry looked effortlessly flawless as she strode up the red carpet at the premiere of The Soloist in L.A. yesterday.

The actress - who will shave her head in the coming months for a role in Nappily Ever After - looked every inch the California beach babe in a relaxed maxi dress, flip flops, and loosely tied chignon. 

In a recent interview with The Sun Halle admitted that she is nervous about giving her hair the chop - despite rocking a sassy cropped do for her part as Bond Girl Giacinta 'Jinx' Johnson in Die Another Day.

She said: “I’m scared to death. I just hope my reaction fits into the story."

At 47 Halle still regularly tops Sexiest Women polls - putting her younger counterparts to shame.

So could a new bald appearance mean the end of Halle's reign? We don't think so.
