Robert Pattinson Under Siege In Canada

Robert Pattinson's heartthrob status is creating all manner of headaches during the shooting of Twilight sequel New Moon, it's claimed.

Security has been tightened after an influx of fans descended on the Canadian set in the hope of getting a glimpse of the British actor, who plays Edward in the vampire saga.

An insider said: "It's got to the point where security measures have had to be trebled to keep these people off the set."

So far attempts to shake off R-Patz's army of followers have failed.

The insider added to British newspaper The Sun: "At one point, a fake shoot was set up to throw these kids off the scent but they are surprisingly resourceful.

"Robert is having to come to terms with having his own personal fan club wherever he goes."
