Samantha Ronson seems keen to dispel rumours that relationship with Lindsay Lohan ended bitterly.

Their split two weeks ago was swiftly followed by an online Twitter squabble and reports - later denied - that Sam's family were seeking to file a restraining order against the Mean Girls star.

But the DJ has played down talk of tension between the pair and insists she has nothing but good wishes for the actress.

She tells People magazine: "I don't talk about my personal life, but I will say that any rumours that I hate Lindsay are false.

“She's an amazing girl, and I wish her all the best. It's not that dramatic."

Meanwhile, Lindsay has also been doing her bit to make light of the break up and tabloid tales she's on course for a Britney-style meltdown.
