Jamie Foxx is recovering after being forced to tackle a stalker who tried to force his way into the actor's Philadelphia hotel room.

The Ray star managed to overpower 49-year-old Willie Brown, who pretended he was Beyonce Knowles' producer, when he attempted to push his way into the star's room at Pennsylvania city's AKA Hotel on 22 March.

Brown fled but was caught by cops on Tuesday when members of Jamie's security spotted him near the hotel and alerted the police.

Brown was arrested for burglary, criminal threats, stalking, false imprisonment and harassment, reports TMZ.

Though the Jamie was left shaken by the incident, he insists he is recovering well after the traumatic experience.

He tells Access Hollywood, “I can’t talk about it, because we’re still dealing with it on the legal side.

"But I’m good now. Shout out to Philadelphia and the mayor and everybody else to make sure it’s good."
