Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt appeared to have embarked on another publicity drive yesterday – a baby!!

Heidi announced the couple's happy news via Twitter, telling followers, “I wanted to tell my Twitter friends first.... I am pregnant!!!!!!!! I couldn't be more excited!!! I Hope its a boy!”

But before she could cut a deal for exclusive rights to pictures of the first Hills' baby, the reality TV star owned up to her little hoax, posting hours later, “Im sure you all know but in case you are wondering...i am not pregnant!! APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!”

So Heidi and Spencer's pretend pregnancy goes the same way as their tabloid-funded non-wedding. What's next? A fake divorce, perhaps?
