'Jennifer Aniston Dumped John Mayer Over Twitter Obsession'

Jennifer Aniston gave ex-boyfriend John Mayer the boot because of his constant Twittering, it's claimed.

The actress - who rekindled her romance with John in November after a brief split in August - reportedly sent the singer packing when she discovered his devotion to the micro-blogging site Twitter.

A pal tells The Sun, “Jen was fuming. There he was, telling her he didn’t have time for her and yet his page was filled with updates!

“Every few hours, sometimes minutes, he’d update with some stupid line.

“She was like, ‘He has time for all this Twittering, but he can’t send me a text, an email, make a call?’

“He didn’t deny it. He knew he was avoiding her. So when she ended things, he just said OK, and he was sorry it didn’t work out.”

After a very public declaration about their relationship at the Oscars last month, Jen and John seemed stronger than ever - but things weren't as rosy as they led everyone to believe.

As Jen jet-setted across Europe promoting her doggy flick Marley & Me, John was Twittering to his heart's desire, instead of keeping in touch with his girlfriend.

Shortly after John was dumped, he posted: “This heart didn’t come with instructions.”
