As Jade Goody lost her battle with cervical cancer this Sunday, her two sons were gently assured that 'mummy is resting in heaven'.

Their father, Jade's ex-boyfriend Jeff Brazier, told five-year-old Bobby and four-year-old Freddy that their mum had moved onto a better place: “Mummy’s in heaven. She’s with the angels now.”

Jade's mum Jackiey pleaded with the press for some privacy now that her daughter has passed away: "Family and friends would like privacy at last.

"My beautiful daughter is at peace."

Husband Jack Tweed - who married Jade in a bittersweet ceremony two weeks ago - said: “I’m heartbroken. What will I do without her?”

27-year-old Jade - who was told she had cancer on Indian reality TV show Big Boss in August last year - died in her home in Upshire, south east England, on Mother's Day.
