Jennifer Aniston is hoping that the subject of her breakup with John Mayer will lay gossip about her divorce from Brad Pitt to rest once and for all, it's claimed.
The former Friends star - who is rumoured to have ended their one year romance two weeks ago - is said to be hoping that the attention her latest breakup receives will replace her media manage-a-trois with Brad and Angelina Jolie.
"She and John are the new Jen and Brad," a close pal tells Life&Style.
"Instead of everyone always talking about Jen and Brad, Jen is hoping her split with John will be the sore subject people focus on!
"It's a much easier 'heartbreak' for Jen to deal with."
Meanwhile, Jen could be receiving more attention regarding John than she bargained for.
If rumours are to be believed, the singer is planning to expose Jen's body obsession, her constant makeovers and the time she apparently referred to him as 'Brad' in bed.
