British actress Natasha Richardson has suffered severe brain injuries following a skiing accident in Quebec, Canada.
The actress was immediately taken to Montreal's Centre Hospitalier Laurentien after a visit to the slopes resulted in a horrific accident.
A hospital source told IrishCentral.com that Natasha is under constant supervision from medical staff after suffering a "traumatic brain injury".
The actress' husband, Liam Neeson, is said to have rushed to her hopsital bedside upon hearing the tragic news.
A representive for Liam's recent film Chloe tells Canada Television, “Liam Neeson left the Toronto set immediately to fly to Montreal upon news of his wife’s accident.
"We do not have any details at this time but we hope for the best and our thoughts and prayers are with Natasha and Liam and their family.”

Natasha's uncle Corin Redgrave - brother of her actress mother Vanessa Redgrave,- says, "I have heard this morning from a family representative about Natasha's accident and am very saddened.
"We are very much thinking of Natasha, Vanessa and (sister) Joely, and are sending them our love."
According to U.S. reports, the Brit born actress has been transferred to another medical facility.
