Jennifer Aniston is reportedly livid over claims that John Mayer ended their one-year romance - because it was she who did the dumping.

The actress - who has enjoyed an on-again, off-again relationship with the younger singer - is said to have told friends that she sent John packing upon her return from Europe promoting Marley & Me.

Jen and John publicly declared their commitment to one another at the Oscars last month in a joint interview, but it was John's cold and distant behaviour following the Academy Awards which prompted their breakup, according to reports.

A source tells The Sun, “They had a great time at the Oscars, but he seemed to go cold right after.

“It’s humiliating. To say her feelings are hurt is an understatement.”

Meanwhile, several U.S. tabloids are reporting it was John's decision to end their romance following a string of bitter rows.
