Black Eyed Peas member Fergie has swapped her California curls for straightened brunette locks, in a bid to show off her more sultry side.

The singer - who wed actor Josh Duhamel in the Malibu on January 10 - put her darker coiff on display at 34th Annual March of Dimes Beauty Ball at Cipriani in New York City.

Fergie has never before altered her hair, placing her amongst the likes of perky popstars such as Britney Spears.
