Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she thinks her latest film Marley & Me wins out over the "more high concept, beautiful movies" released this year.
The actress - who spent last week in Europe promoting her doggy caper movie - has hinted that she believes audiences are sure to find more common ground with her film than ex-husband Brad Pitt's Oscar nominated The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
When asked about why she thinks audiences will enjoy Marley & Me, Jen told Entertainmentwise, "The fact that it did so well (in the US) at a time when there were so many big movies out- more high concept, beautiful movies- it was a sign of what people were really hungry for, which was a very simple story of this family and the journey you go on with them over 15 years of their life."
She added, "Because it’s so accessible, people were ready to feel that- to laugh really hard, cry really hard, to feel that emotion."
Jen had the last laugh on boxing day in the U.S. when her romcom went in at number one with a whopping $10 million more than Brad's "high concept" movie.
Stay tuned for the entire interview with Jen later today.
