Katie Holmes: 'I Ignore Cruel Tabloid Stories'

Katie Holmes insists that the persistent press attention isn't taking its toll on her, despite her put-upon appearance in recent months.

The actress - who is currently filming The Extra Man in Manhatten - says that the best way to deal with the constant rumours surrounding her life and her family are to brush them off and carry on regardless.

She tells Glamour magazine, "I feel really, really lucky. And you know what? I feel the best response [to all those tabloid stories] is just going about my life: enjoying life, making movies, being a good mom and a good wife, and focusing on that.

"Because if you're doing well, what can they say?"

Katie's fragile appearance belies her carefree attitude -  she has looked shockingly thin, tired and old during recent public sightings.
