Chris Brown is reportedly in talks with lawyers to get him off possible felony charges in connection with his alleged attack on Rihanna on February 7.

The R&B star is due in court today to be arraigned but the prosecution are yet to deliver their case against him.

"We have filed nothing today," spokeswoman for the district attorney, Sandi Gibbons told NY Daily News.

She added, "It's still under investigation by the police."

Experts speculate that Chris could be working on a deal with the prosecution to spare him of any charges and that he may enter a plea during today's scheduled hearing.

Alternatively, his bail may be extended while the prosecution continue to gather evidence.

Reports that Rihanna is refusing to testify after a mad-dash marriage to Chris at the weekend are also said to be making things increasingly difficult for the prosecution.
