Miley Cyrus has confessed that she was an easy target for bullies when she was younger, because of her father Billy-Ray's showbiz past.
The teen queen - who was spotted bouncing down the hills of Hollywood in a bikini with boyfriend Justin Gaston earlier this week - says that growing up in Tennessee with a famous father took its toll on the actress.
In her new autobiographical book, Miles To Go, Miley writes: "The girls took it beyond normal bullying. These were big, tough girls.
"I was scrawny and short. They were fully capable of doing me bodily harm."
She adds, "Classmates would say, 'Your dad's a one-hit wonder. You'll never amount to anything - just like him."
"I didn't dare forget the struggle. There was a reason for it. I brought that girl with me, and she reminds me to be compassionate.
"To not hold grudges. To be supportive. To be there for others when I know I'm needed."
