Robert Pattinson proved he is the ultimate role model by hitching a ride with a friend after a night on the town in Hollywood, according to sources.

Robert was spotted letting his hair down and enjoying the L.A. scene at The Bar on the outskirts of Hollywood.

"He was sharing champagne with his group, passing it freely to others in the bar," a source tells Celebuzz.com.

But the heartthrob isn't one to drink and drive, and instead jumped into the passenger seat of a friend's car at the end of the night.

According to sources, the previous evening Rob had visited the Hollywood bistro La Poubelle for dinner with friends.

Rob and the cast reportedly jetted off to Vancouver yesterday to begin filming on the Twilight sequel New Moon.
