The next time that Rihanna and ex-boyfriend Chris Brown come face-to-face could well be in court.

The former couple went into hiding separately immediately following the February 8 altercation that left the Umbrella star with contusions to her forehead, a bloody noise and a split lip.

But Rihanna will have to take to the stand once Chris faces the charges in court on 5 March, according to the New York Daily News.

It has since been claimed that Chris is being investigated for a variety of felonies, including domestic violence, assault resulting in great bodily injury and attempted murder.

The attempted murder probe is based on specific claims Rihanna made to police that Chris told her, "I'm going to kill you," as he had his hands around her neck.
