Miley Cyrus hits back at suggestions that her relationship with dad Billy Ray is “too close and too cuddly,” in her new autobiography.
The pair raised eyebrows when they posed together for the May 2008 Vanity Fair issue that became known as the Hannah Montana star's 'naked scandal' after she appeared in only a sheet on the front cover.
Miley was snapped bare-armed and reclining against Billy Ray, an image that was viewed by many as suggestive and inappropriate.
And now Miley is fighting back.
"The media has said some stuff about my dad and me being too close and too cuddly for a father and a daughter," she writes in the cannily-titled Miles to Go.
"For me and my dad it's not weird at all."
She adds, "we don't let other people tell us what expressions we're supposed to have on our faces when we take a picture together!"
Miley's memoir will be on sale from next month.
