The New York fashion crowd may have been wondering what Mickey Rourke was doing strutting his stuff on the runway this week. OK, it wasn't Mickey, it was Pamela Anderson but the similarities between these two ageing blondes with a penchant for plastic surgery is uncanny.

The former Baywatch star squeezed herself into a barely-there gold swimsuit on Wednesday night for an appearance at designer Richie Rich's 'Blonde's Have More Fun' show.

At one point, the 41-year-old gave fashion watchers in the front row an unwelcome flash of her undercarriage as she attempted a high kick.

And those at the back would have been forgiven for thinking the sweaty, orange shape cavorting on stage was the Oscar-nominated star of The Wrestler drumming up support ahead of the Academy Awards on Sunday.
